offering seniors affordable and comfortable living in a GREEN Building.

What is a GREEN Building?
A Green building is friendly to the environment and healthy for the occupants. There is a high degree of care put into the selection of materials and mechanical systems. The building operates so that there is always fresh air even in the winter months introduced into the building. In addition materials are selected to be low VOC. VOC stands for volatile organic compounds. Materials like carpeting, resilient flooring, glue, foam furniture, paints and other finishes, can contain VOC's that off-gas, polluting the air inside buildings. WoodCrest has a very low level of VOC's making it easier for seniors to breathe.

Each apartment includes a complete kitchen, and full bath plus dining/living room, and one or two bedrooms. The building was designed with the needs of seniors in mind. It has extra-wide doors, handy cabinet heights, convenience bars in the bath areas, emergency pull-cords in each bedroom and bath, yet its design and interiors are fashioned with the comforts of home.

We have designed this 'Green Building' with many features that make it
"more than just a place to live."

Keyless Entry System
Keyless entry to the building prevents unauthorized copies of keys. As a resident you will receive a convenient "electronic key." It is easy to use, even for people with arthritis.

On Duty
A site manager is on duty in the office during normal business hours. For emergency situations pull cords are conveniently located in bedrooms and bathrooms of each unit and are directly connected to the local ambulance service.


Other amenities include, but are not limited to:

1. Elevator the building has an elevator serving all 4 floors -- no more climbing stairs.
2. Library where residents can obtain reading material.
3. Numerous common areas such as game and craft rooms, community room/dining area (with affordable meals), wellness center, hair care center and exercise area where residents may gather with family or friends for activities or just to chat.
4. Railings and grab bars are discretely built into the design of the bathrooms to assist residents in maintaining their independence.
5. A social service coordinator provides assistance in accessing services available in the community as well as scheduling wellness and informational programs.
6. Transportation an accessible van is available that will make regularly scheduled trips to grocery and health needs stores, many of which are located within a one-mile radius of the residence.
7. Smoke Free building there are several designated outdoor areas for smoking.


AFFORDABILITY

Our plan for senor living includes a vision that our residents should be provided the opportunity to age in place with dignity in pleasant, comfortable surroundings. The ingenuity of our Development team working in cooperation with government agencies and investors make this type of living possible and affordable.

Rents are substantially lower than comparable market rate communities due to the provisions of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program. In addition, these affordable rents include all utilities. The only additional monthly payments you will have related to housing are for telephone and cable.
