We are committed to ensuring seniors have access to the lifestyle and health care they deserve. At St. John’s Herr Estate, we offer all the necessary services to meet changing needs. Besides residential retirement living, our campus offers assisted living at St. John’s Herr Estate Lodge. Priority access to skilled nursing and rehabilitation and comprehensive memory care are available within our Luthercare family at Luther Acres in Lititz or Spang Crest Manor in Lebanon.


RESIDENTIAL LIVING

We have one goal at St. John’s Herr Estate – to offer everything needed to lead a full, healthy, enriching and fun retirement life.

The lifestyle at St. John’s Herr Estate is what sets us apart. Our community is a true neighborhood where new friends are made, laughter and memories are shared each day. Whether it’s strolling through our beautifully landscaped grounds, participating in an organized (or spur-of-the-moment) activity, or taking advantage of our close proximity to charming downtown Columbia, there is always something fun and enjoyable to do! Most importantly, if needs change, residents – and their families – enjoy the security of knowing more care is available. For residents who want a break from cooking, we have a lovely dining room. A wellness center that features fitness programming and pool are available at our nearby Luther Acres campus in Lititz (tour the fitness center and check out the indoor pool).

There are plenty of on-campus amenities to take advantage of including:

- Beautifully landscaped grounds for leisurely walks (tour the campus neighborhood)
- Library with computer room (take a peak at all the books available)
- Chapel of the Good Shepherd (worship in the chapel)

- Dining Room (look at the lovely dining room)

Residents may choose from spacious cottages or apartments in one- and two-bedroom designs. There is a variety of options available.

- Interior and exterior maintenance of building
- Grounds maintenance and snow removal

And, St. John’s Herr Estate offers three unique entry plans. You pick the one that makes sense for your lifestyle.

1. Our Traditional Entrance Fee Plan is a plan, which decreases by 2% per month to a zero balance at 50 months.
2. Our 75% refundable Asset Preservation Entrance Fee Plan maximizes the preservation of your estate.
3. Our Monthly Lease Plan allows you to retain your assets and use your income, including pension and social security to improve your lifestyle at St. John’s Herr Estate.


ASSISTED LIVING

At St. John’s Herr Estate Lodge, our assisted living residents enjoy an active lifestyle with an emphasis on independence and dignity – a lifestyle designed to nourish the spirit. Just the right amount of support is offered and is changed whenever necessary. From gentle medication reminders, to assistance with activities of daily living, to help at meal times, an experienced team of compassionate caregivers who are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week provides our assisted living services.

Life at the Lodge defines worry-free living. Everything needed to ensure independence and peace of mind is offered. Our residents have the flexibility to choose how they spend each day and there is always something fun and exciting to enjoy. Most importantly, our activities are geared toward the specific interests of our residents.

The Lodge offers private rooms or suites. Each spacious suite has its own individually controlled heat and air conditioning. Large closets, plush carpeting and window blinds complete the look. Suites also feature tea kitchens, private bathrooms and an inviting design with room for one’s favorite treasures from home. Beautifully designed lounges are located throughout the Lodge. Guests are always welcome.

Our daily rate, offering two separate levels of care, includes meals, housekeeping, medication monitoring, activities and much more.

SKILLED NURSING & REHABILITATION

As part of the Luthercare family, residents of St. John’s Herr Estate have priority access to skilled nursing and rehabilitative services, should they ever become necessary, in one of our other Luthercare communities. Luther Acres Manor in Lititz and Spang Crest Manor in Lebanon both offer short and long term skilled care provided by experienced and knowledgeable caregivers.

During short-term stays in either of these locations, our residents have the peace of mind that their home is being maintained in their absence and the reassurance that it will be waiting for them when they return to St. John’s Herr Estate.
