In addition, Heritage House proudly offers unique services, such as the Transitional Care Unit - for patients who need a level of care in between acute care and home; Wyoming Valley Manor Personal Care and Retirement Center - for residents who require personal assistance living; our Certified Nurse Aide Training Program - an educational program that brings highly qualified professionals to our residents; and a state-of-the-art rehabilitation department for in-house residents as well as for outpatients. In all, Heritage House stands alone as the region's leader in providing comprehensive and quality retirement living services.

Independent Living

Comfortable, worry-free living. That's what most people want for their retirement. And that's just what Heritage House can provide.

Our 32 independent living quarters are attractive one-bedroom apartments where residents can be surrounded by their own furniture and mementos. Just as importantly, independent living quarters offer the convenience of modern, superbly maintained facilities.

With wall-to-wall carpeting, vertical blinds, all utilities (including heat and air-conditioning), pre-wiring for cable television and weekly housekeeping services, our independent living quarters are ideal for people who want the benefits of worry-free retirement in a comfortable, safe and convenient setting.


Personal Care Living

Residents who require assistance with daily tasks, may choose all the benefits of the independent living quarters with the option of enjoying personal care in their own private or semi-private rooms.

In the 45-bed Personal Care Unit, residents can take advantage of qualified and talented staff members who provide assistance in tracking medication, bathing, dressing or other personal care assistance a resident may need.

Personal Care living is an important level of care for many people who can still enjoy many of the benefits of living alone but may require periodic special assistance.


Skilled Nursing

For those residents who require nursing care 24-hours a day, Heritage House offers a 50-bed Skilled Nursing Unit, fully staffed with licensed nurses, nurse assistants and other medical professionals.

Located on the second floor of Heritage House, the Skilled Nursing Unit provides long- and short-term care for rehabilitation. Residents can transfer into and out of the unit as necessary to meet their health care needs.

Dedicated to providing comprehensive services for residents, the SNU even offers its own dinning room. In fact, to meet the special dietary needs of residents, the Dietary Department works hand-in-hand with staff dieticians to provide healthy, appropriate and tasty selections for residents.

What's more, among the interesting and entertaining daily activities offered at the SNU, residents can expect everything from arts and crafts projects to pet therapy, games, educational presentations and more.
