From independent to assisted living, to an on-campus skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, Heatherwood offers access to a complete continuum of care, all at one monthly service fee, with no entrance fee.

COTTAGES AND APARTMENT AMENITIES
Heatherwood is a non-sectarian, full-service Retirement Community. We charge only a monthly service fee without an entrance fee. In addition, our community is conveniently adjacent to Hickory House Nursing Home.
Residents of Heatherwood have a variety of one or two-bedroom apartments or cottages from which to choose. Private patios or sundecks adjoin each apartment. Come and enjoy gracious country living with amenities such as:
- All apartments, including assisted living, are full sized with patios and/or balconies
- A beautifully appointed kitchen complete with easy to reach cabinets, range, stainless steel sinks and refrigerator/freezer
- Fully appointed baths with vanity and tub/shower equipped with assist bars
- Two bedroom units include two bathrooms
- Individually controlled heat and air-conditioning units
- Fire detection devices
- Ample closet space
- Twenty-four hour emergency alert call systems
- Living units are totally electric
HOUSE SERVICES
A willing, professional staff will provide the following services to you at no extra charge:
- One meal daily, prepared by our chef in our gracious dining room. Three meals are offered.
- Couples with different care needs may still reside together in the same apartment
- Weekly housekeeping by our caring staff
- Bed and bath linens are laundered weekly.
- Washers and dryers are provided and located throughout the facility near lounges (personal laundry is cared for upon request).
- General maintenance services (inside and outside) will be done by our maintenance staff.
- Transportation for banking, shopping, entertainment and medical appointments is provided.
- Self-Service Elevators
- Beauty and Barber Shop
- Gift Shop
- Health Care Services
- Emergency Alert Call System - connects units to a Central Security System
- Coordination of Health Services - as needed
- Medical Monitoring Assistance - for blood pressure, diet and special medical problems
- Transportation - for health care appointments (upon scheduling)
ASSISTED LIVING
Residents who select Assisted Living are provided with all of the Independent Services, plus the following on an as-needed basis:
- Three Meals Daily
- Daily health care monitoring
- Personal Laundry Services
- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living: Bathing, Dressing and Personal hygiene
- Assistance with Medications
- Observation and Assessment of Functional Needs
- Housekeeping Weekly or As Needed
- Monthly Monitoring of Weight and Vital Signs
ACTIVITIES
With freedom from many daily chores, you will have time to pursue the hobbies and activities that you find stimulating and enjoyable. Heatherwood considers the social aspect of your life vitally important, so at Heatherwood you will find the following activities that are available to you:
- Entertainment and social activities are provided 7 days a week
- An Active Residents' Association
- Volunteering is always available
- Use of all facilities, dining rooms, lounges, libraries, lawns, gardens and walking trails
- A multi-purpose auditorium with stage
- Cultural and informative programs regularly
