Welcome to Fairmount Homes!
Fairmount Homes is a continuing care retirement community with a tradition of simplicity and a rich Christian heritage. Located in the beautiful countryside of northeastern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, it is home to people who value personal relationships and care for each other.
Founded in 1968, Fairmount Homes benefits from the commitment of its Board of Directors, its staff, and the many volunteers from local churches and the community. At Fairmount Homes you will find a Christian concern for the individual which sets Fairmount apart.
Located on 48 acres in picturesque rural West Earl Township, Lancaster County, Fairmount Homes, a continuing care retirement community, consists of 120 licensed Health Care beds, 74 licensed personal care beds, 12 residential living residences, 58 apartments and 39 cottages. Our retirement community is located on two adjoining campuses. Fairmount, a non-profit, church related facility, was founded in 1968 and is governed by a nine-member Board from the Weaverland Conference of the Old Order Mennonite church. Fairmount Homes is licensed for Medicare and Medicaid. Fairmount's policy is to serve all residents without regard to race, color, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, religious creed, handicap or disability.
Residents enjoy a panoramic view of Lancaster County and its beautiful farming community. While within easy driving distance of Ephrata and New Holland, residents of Fairmount enjoy the advantage of quiet, country living.
An emphasis is placed on meeting spiritual needs. The Christian ministry of Fairmount's staff and volunteers is a very important element of the facility. Numerous local church groups and pastors are actively involved in visiting Fairmount. Because of the compassionate, loving care, Fairmount is home to people who value personal relationships and care for each other.

CARE OPTIONS
Personal Care
Fairmount's philosophy of Personal Care emphasizes privacy, independence, individual choice and self-direction. Our overall goal is to provide a safe, secure and caring, home-like environment, while preserving and reinforcing individual autonomy, dignity and self-worth.
Health Care
Health Care services are offered to persons requiring 24-hour care and supervision under the direction of a registered nurse. Each room is equipped with a bed, chest of drawers, bedside cabinet, and space for clothing and personal items. Residents are encouraged to bring other items as space permits to help make their environment more like home.
Fairmount's goal is to promote residents' dignity and self-esteem through encouraging independence and providing top-quality care within a secure and stimulating Christian environment. Our interdisciplinary approach enables us to establish individualized short- and long-term goals.
Special Care
Heartwood, Fairmount's special care residence for persons with memory loss, is designed to serve the needs of residents at risk for exiting the facility or with dementia. Heartwood's physical design and the emotional support provided by staff create an environment of comfort, nurture and security. Staff support resident dignity by working with each individual at his/her own cognitive level.
Heartwood's enclosed courtyard provides a safe place for residents to enjoy being outdoors with staff, joining in gardening, walking our residential companion dog and other outdoor activities.
