RESIDENTIAL LIVING
Residential Living at Brethren Village offers the perfect mix of convenience and flexibility. Designed to promote carefree living, all residential living options complement the comfort and convenience found by living in a retirement community. Living at the Village offers those 62 years of age and older a stress-free lifestyle and the time to enjoy various services and activities on our campus.
Residents living residentially at the Village have a choice from among many different residences that are designed to meet their specific needs. If space is of primary importance to you, we have many types of accommodations including:
- Efficiency Apartment Living
With 37 Efficiency Apartments on the campus of Brethren Village, studio living is the perfect mix of convenience, flexibility and affordability for many of our residents. Including a room, bath and kitchen space, an Efficiency Apartment is a great option for care-free retirement living.
- One-Bedroom Apartment Living
Brethren Village offers 151 One-Bedroom Apartments ranging from 517' to 806' square feet. One-Bedrooms are located in four different buildings on campus; many apartments include additional amenities such as an outside entrance, a den and balcony. Each apartment building provides reserved parking spaces for residents, while the Fieldcrest Residential Living building offers the option of sheltered parking. Two of our larger buildings, Village Townhouse and Oakwood House, offer the added convenience of climate-controlled walkways connected to the Village Center shops, indoor pool, and chapel.
- Two-Bedroom Apartment Living
If looking for additional room and storage, Brethren Village offers 67 Two-Bedroom Apartments ranging from 950' to 1125' square feet in addition to 18 Two-Bedroom Deluxe Apartments ranging from 1136' to 1612' square feet.
- Cottage Living
Designed to suit your personal expectations of residential living, Brethren Village currently houses 91 Cottages that offer wide and spacious living quarters. Ranging from 776' to 2213' square feet, Cottage Living provides residents with a private drive, large kitchens and baths, and various amenities found within their own home. Options available in Cottage Living include weekly house cleaning, laundry service, and a meal plan.

Financially, our wide range of entrance and monthly fees fit within most budgets. Two entrance fee plans are available including a 0% and 35% minimum refund plan (75% minimum refund plan is available upon request.) Refund plans are amortized over a 60-month period to their minimum levels. If residency is terminated during the first 60 months of occupation, a partial refund of the entrance fee will be paid at the time of resale of the residency. Our sales counselors can help you determine which entrance fee plan is best for you.
CONTINUING CARE
Brethren Village, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is committed to providing all patients and residents with highly-skilled professionals for their personal, intermediate and skilled healthcare needs. Paying close, individual attention to any medical needs, the Village takes great pride in offering numerous choices and services to assist you in deciding on Continuing Care options for yourself or a loved one.
Our Continuing Care facilities include a 175-bed healthcare center and 78 private assisted living rooms for our residents. Our Healthcare Center services include therapy services, social services, 24-hours pharmacy services, individualized care planning, activities and pastoral services to name a few.
The Village is also host to our Home Health Agency which provides nursing and physical, speech and occupational therapies services- in the comfort of your own home. Our expansive and comprehensive levels of Continuing Care include:

Social Activities
The Therapeutic Recreation Department offers a wide range of programs for all residents of the Village by encouraging everyone to attend and participate solely or in organized clubs and groups to fully maximize retirement living. Whether tending to plants in our resident greenhouse, or playing water volleyball, various activities happen daily at the Village to keep all our residents healthy, and happy.

Transportation
Brethren Village provides complimentary transportation to scheduled locations throughout our campus and county as part of enhancing the independent lifestyle of our residents, through the use of our own Brethren Village Shuttles.
On-Campus shuttles run daily providing residents with a reliable and scheduled means of transportation to our residential living buildings, Village Center shops, Assisted Living and Healthcare Centers, and Residential and Administration Offices. All- shuttle services are available on campus Monday through Friday, and Sundays for Chapel service.
Off-Campus shuttle run are scheduled on a regular basis to shopping centers, grocery stores, and malls which are outlined on a monthly activity sheet with times, locations and destinations.
Red Rose Transit Authority (RRTA), the local bus, passes Brethren Village regularly between Lititz and Lancaster, according to their Route 10 schedule and buses can be boarded at several bus stops on our campus. Resident's personal vehicles are permitted on our campus, and are regulated and registered through the Brethren Village Marketing Department.

Dining Services
Brethren Village is dedicated to providing quality care to residents, patients, and visitors of our facility, which includes offering the best in food, service, and experience while dining on our campus. Special dietary needs are ordered by the attending physician at Brethren Village, and are applied to all areas of dining for residents in Assisted Living and the Healthcare Center while receiving care at the Village. Residential Living residents can elect to participate in a fee-based consultation with our Dietitian, and are welcome at all dining locations across campus. Various meal plan options are available to independent living residents.
Providing full-service meals in various locations across our campus, Brethren Village is home to residential living dining halls, along with the Coffee Shop (Village Center) and Perkissimo Café (Fieldcrest).

Pastoral Services
The Pastoral Services at Brethren Village strives to uphold the mission to glorify God as we foster a community of Christian love and compassion by providing spiritual/pastoral care for all residents of any faith tradition, basing our ministry on the teachings of the Christian faith as seen in the life of Jesus Christ and revealed in the Bible.
Accomplished daily through services of worship, prayer, Bible studies, pastoral visitations, fellowship opportunities and other ministries/services that address or help meet spiritual needs, the Village is committed to providing spiritual care for residents, patients, and visitors.
Pastoral services provides and leads worship services for BV residents on Sunday mornings, with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and Worship Service at 10:00 a.m. which is simulcast over the closed circuit Brethren Village Television for those unable to make it to our on-campus chapel. Wednesday evening worship services at 7:00 p.m. are also provided along with Assisted Living and Healthcare Center worship services on each floor throughout the week.
Pastoral services reach into the lives of residents and families daily through the following channels:

Security & Freedom
In order to provide a safe and secure living and working environment for all residents, patients, employees and visitors, Brethren Village provides security coverage 24-hours, 7-days a week. The Security Department conducts foot and vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking lots and common areas throughout all hours of the day to ensure freedom from personal harm to those on campus. All members of the Security Department are CPR and AED certified and our department personnel carry an AED (Automatic Electronic Defibrillator) on its security vehicle. An AED is also maintained in the Village Center Coffee Shop.
Responding to various situations that may arise on campus, the Security Department takes action in situations including:

WELLNESS
In line with Brethren Village's mission to provide Christ-like care, the Village understands the need to create and maintain an environment that fulfills and challenges the physical needs of our residents. Blending the body and the mind, our in-depth wellness initiatives provide monitored and skilled staff members that work with residents to achieve improvements in areas such as flexibility and cardiovascular capabilities.
The Village seeks to have residents claim ownership and independence of their own health and wellness by providing residents with a variety of wellness programs including lectures, exercise classes, therapeutic activities, and organized sports.
