Asbury Heights, a continuing care community, is backed by over 93 years of service to older adults. Quality services are provided on our beautiful, 27-acre park-like campus located in Mt. Lebanon. Recognizing the individuality of each resident's variety of needs, we offer a full range of residential living accommodations and healthcare services including independent living, assisted living/ personal care, nursing and rehabilitative care, specialty Alzheimer's care and adult day services. As time passes, our residents sometimes require additional support or more sophisticated care. Our residents and their families can enjoy the comfort and security of familiar surroundings and continuity of care provided by our dedicated and compassionate staff.
INDEPENDENT LIVING
Independent living for older adults means different things to different people. At Asbury Heights, you're provided a range of accommodations that best match your lifestyle and needs. Accommodations range from beautiful townhomes, one- or two-bedroom apartments, suites or residential rooms. You may enjoy cooking in your own apartment, or you may want to take advantage of delicious meals, served in our attractive dining rooms. We'll take care of your housekeeping needs so that you'll have more time to enjoy the wide array of activities that we offer.
The Asbury campus is nestled in a safe, secure, tree-lined, residential community. There are plenty of activities to keep residents of independent living as busy as they choose to be. Whether you're interested in privacy or socializing with other Asbury residents, the independent living accommodations provide you with the flexibility to choose.
On top of all of this, as a resident of independent living, you have access to a broad range of amenities and services that make life at Asbury Heights enjoyable and carefree.
Accommodations
From our two- or three-bedroom townhomes to our one- or two-bedroom apartments, suites, and residential rooms, all of our accommodations provide the convenience of one-floor living as well as the security of a 24-hour emergency call system.
At Asbury Heights, you're free to decorate your residence to make it a home. For your convenience, we provide wall-to-wall carpeting and window treatments. Housekeeping and maintenance service are also provided to allow you more time to enjoy other pastimes and activities. We can even do your laundry for a small fee.
At Asbury, we try to meet all of your needs, including your needs before living at Asbury Heights. We'd be happy to assist you in coordinating the sale of your home, working with an interior decorator to personalize your new home at Asbury Heights, and finding a moving company to transport your personal possessions to your new accommodations.
If you like to stay busy, Asbury provides a variety of regularly scheduled activities, on and off the campus, that include picnics, parties, concerts and musical entertainment, bridge groups, arts and crafts projects, etc. You can feel free to join in as often as you'd like.
In addition to Port Authority Transit buses that make regularly scheduled stops on the grounds, Asbury provides mini buses that make scheduled trips to shopping malls, supermarkets and restaurants as well as sightseeing and entertainment destinations. The vans may also be reserved for personal medical appointments on selected days.

ASSISTED LIVING
At Asbury Heights, we are dedicated to helping our residents live their lives as independently as possible. Assisted Living/Personal Care at Asbury Heights provides residents with assistance as needed from our trained and qualified nursing staff members and caregivers.
Personalized care is provided in a loving and compassionate manner from assisting with medications to performing daily grooming routines to participating in recreational activities. Through our assisted living facilities, we provide a wide range of special services such as physical, occupational and speech therapy, pain management and nutritional support as well as non-invasive medical procedures and on-site visits with our medical staff.
Asbury Villas is the newest addition to Asbury's comprehensive family of services for older adults. Opened in the fall of 2001, Asbury Villas is a 76-unit assisted living residence with studio, one- and two- bedroom apartments. Assisted living at Asbury Villas offers residents the opportunity to live in their own beautiful suites and receive help with the activities of day-to-day living on an as-needed basis. Support is customized so that individuals can get the assistance they need, while maintaining as much independence as they are safely able to do.
This combination of independence and support is the perfect option for older adults who:
- require help with routine housekeeping and personal hygiene
- manage multiple medications
- have chronic or physically limiting medical conditions
- have mild memory disorders or who are in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease

- Regularly scheduled activities and events both on Asbury's campus and in the surrounding neighborhoods
In addition to Asbury Villas, Spring Lane, assisted living is available as part of our continuum in the main building. Spring Lane is warm and comfortable and features standard and deluxe rooms with shared or private baths. The rooms are completely furnished, bright and cheerful. Residents are encouraged to bring furniture and personal items such as photographs and pictures from home to personalize and add to the comfort of their surroundings.
NURSING AND REHABILITATION
Nursing and Rehabilitative Care involves round-the-clock nursing care and supervision as well as medical interventions and specialized assistance to maximize daily living skills for residents with these needs.
Residents of Asbury's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center enjoy fully furnished private or semi-private rooms, depending on availability. All residents are encouraged to add personal touches to their rooms to make them more comfortable. Residents often bring personal furnishings, photographs, blankets, mementos and other decorative accents to personalize their rooms. Residents must provide their own television; however, there is no charge for cable service.
ALZHEIMER'S
Asbury Place, located on the beautiful Asbury campus, is a specially designed, licensed personal care facility. It is a free standing, 42-bed residence, built and dedicated exclusively to the care of individuals with mild to moderate Alzheimer's Disease and other memory related disorders.
ADULT DAY SERVICES
With today's growing population of two-income families, many individuals are seeking care and activities for aging parents. Easter Seals Adult Day Services at Asbury Heights, provides daytime care for older adults enabling their caregivers to work or have daytime respite while care is being provided to their parents or loved one. The Asbury Heights program accommodates up to 30 people per day and is staffed by a nurse, an activity coordinator, a social worker, nursing assistants and a music therapist.
